Ranthambore National Park during Colors of Rajasthan Experience

Ranthambore National Park during our Experience Colors of Rajasthan Trip
Explore the Ranthambore National Park at its best
Alluring attraction of Ranthambore
Shrouded in romance & intrigue and inhabited by tigers, Ranthambore National Park beckons you for a fascinating trip in the wilderness. Nestled in the jungles of Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan, this national park gets its name from the majestic Ranthambore Fort that now lies in ruins in the center of the forest. This primal stretch of wilderness with its haunted ruins, myths & lore, and roaring tigers is a much sought after haunt of wildlife enthusiasts and adventure seekers.
Ranthambore is the realm of the Royal Bengal Tiger, and thousands of tourists visit here for a glimpse of this ruler of Ranthambore. However, the jungle is also inhabited by leopards, monitor lizards, sloth bear, jackal, fishing cat, nilgai, desert fox, and many more mammals. You may also see pythons on the tall trees and crocodiles sunning on the lake banks. The water bodies in the park are flocked by a variety of birds from serpent eagles & vultures to sandpiper and kingfishers who interrupt the silence of the jungle with their whistles & calls.
An ancient citadel, now in ruins, Ranthambore Fort stands in the middle of the park and is home to many myths and legends. Climbing up to the ramparts is quite tiring but equally rewarding as the view from there is awe-inspiring. Also check out the Jogi Mahal at the foot of the fort and a Ganesh temple inside the fort.
